    Do you know how to use your sewing machine but looking for a simple project to build your confidence and skills? Choose from various cotton fabrics and then make one or two simple projects, such as a bowl or cup cozy, an oven mitt, a placemat, a hair bow, or a pet bandana. $10 supply fee paid to instructor in class for fabric.     Get creative while turning random pieces of fabric and ribbon into decorative flowers that can be displayed or worn on your favorite hat, jacket or outfit. Have fun as you cut, hand-sew, or glue together various colors and patterns uniquely you. Finish by embellishing your flowers with specific buttons and bobbles! $5 supply fee payable to the instructor in class.     Did you know that hand embroidery has been practiced around the world for centuries and includes over 300 different stitches? Join us for this introductory class where you’ll learn 10 basic stitches including the Running, Back, Chain, and Blanket stitch, a French Knot, and more. Leave class with a completed project and the confidence to tackle hand embroidery on your own.     Discover the rich culture of henna. Henna is a dye prepared from the leaves of a henna tree, also known as Egyptian privet. Henna is temporary body art resulting from the staining of the skin from the dyes. After stains reach their peak color, they hold for a few days, then gradually wear off, typically within two to three weeks. Learn the basics of henna tattoos and practice them. The instructor will fill in or finish your henna design and take-home henna cone. All the materials will be provided.     Do you remember Bob Ross’ Joy of Painting series on PBS? This “wet-on-wet” painting technique is for all skill levels and those who have never painted before. Kristi will lead you step-by-step as you complete an entire oil painting in class. Discover your inner artist, or just learn a new technique! The painting will change with every class. Instead of just being taught how to paint one painting, you will be learning skills you can apply to all your future paintings. Kristi’s first rule is everyone leaves with a pretty painting! A supply fee of $20 per class is payable to the instructor in class. Bring a roll of paper towels to class for your own use.
